I started PC Prop computer support and repair business in 2003, when computers and dial up internet were slow and laptops were rare! Although some of the challenges have changed, the repair approach hasn't. I still enjoy the daily challenge from troublesome WiFi, to accelerating computers operating at 'the speed of a striking slug'.
I find the best approach is to fix 'on site' as usually it's not necessary to take the computer away, but if I need to take it away you'll be kept informed on the progress and before costly repairs. I find its best to avoid using jargon and keep the language of computers simple. Integrity is the foundation of my business approach; and customer satisfaction is the highest priority.

As I have two young children I try to be home for 5:30, but this is flexible within reason, I am available on the phone until 7pm. I recommend a computer check-up every 6 months to protect against potential hardware problems, security issues, backup and to keep the computer optimised for speed and performance.

Matt did an absolutely fantastic job giving my struggling laptop a remote check-up. Not only did he cover the basics and help me set up backup storage, but he gave me advice on getting a new drive, explaining to me (who knows little to nothing about tech) about my current drive and what benefits a new one would bring me, even going as far as to find me a replacement he recommended to purchase in my own time. Great service and a great guy. Will definitely be using him again in future.

Matt has been "sorting us out" for over 10 years now. He deals with our queries and problems with calm efficiency. He explains things clearly and never makes us feel inept. He is always prompt. His friendly, warm personality makes him a delight to call in. What is more he always leaves us reassured that things are sorted !
