Canal holidays really do offer something for everyone. Children revel in the novelty of the boating environment and in the constant variety of activities and places to visit on route. The not-so-young love the leisurely pace of canal life and the genuine home comforts to be found aboard a Countrywide narrowboat.
There are so many route options accessible from Brewood that we simply can't list them all on our website! We've picked out some of our favourite routes to give you a taster of the wide variety available. If you want any assistance in planning your ideal route, then just contact us - our team have extensive experience in travelling the waterways and exploring the local canalside, and will be glad to advise you.
The Avon Ring is a wonderfully varied circuit, offering a mixture of canal and river cruising. Journey south from Brewood via the Birmingham Canal Network main line and Gas Street Basin until the junction at Kings Norton with the Worcester and Birmingham. The Stratford Canal has its own special flavour with characteristically lush vegetation and the split cantilever bridges and barrel roofed cottages unique to this waterway.
Very much a classic circular cruising route; this active and enthralling week long circuit passes through Staffordshire, the West Midlands (briefly), Cheshire and Shropshire. Head south from Brewood, and within two hours the left turn at Autherley Junction offers an inviting escape from the creeping urban tentacles of Wolverhampton.

The booking process was a little way from being the most efficient online process I've encountered but the main thing was the boat and the holiday - both first class. Great service from the moment we arrived and were shown around Sir Bruin. For our mid-week break from Brewood to Market Drayton & back, this canal boat was just what we wanted for our floating home from home. Very well equipped with a decent fridge and galley area we were able to cater for ourselves as and when we wanted to. Comfortable beds with decent quality bed linen and central heating throughout it was all very enjoyable. The
