Because all the key processes are delivered in-house, Shaw Sheet Metal can claim to offer the most complete metalworking service in the Midlands. The company has vast experience, modern equipment and a skilled, craftsmen workforce. That combination makes for the production of quality product delivered on time and to budget.
Shaw was set up in 1990 and now employs some 30 people. The service we offer usually begins at the product design stage where we work in partnership with our customers to establish the best design and materials to meet usage and budget requirements. It may be followed by a prototype and testing phase prior to full production.

Services
Shaw has invested heavily in the latest from the Amada range, widely considered to be the best metalworking equipment available. Most run automatically under computer control and cut to acute precision using top-grade metals. The company even has its own nitrogen manufacturing plant which supplies fuel for most of our equipment.
All of our projects are commissioned to order. We take time to understand the application needs of our customers, whenever possible, so that we can help with optimising design and material specifications. Our considerable experience across a wide range of industries means that very often knowledge gleened from similar work previously undertaken can be used to improve the new job.
One of just five in the country, the Amada FOM2RI 3015 is the only machine of its type that can do both flat sheet and metal tube cutting. But what else makes it different to any other laser cutter? Its ability to cut angles, channels and section's, as well as a versatility that allows the processing of non-conventional and standard shapes.
The Amada FOM2RI 3015 is engineered to include an innovative Rotary Index with the ability to easily switch between flat sheet cutting to tube or pipe cutting on one of three shuttle pallets. Now in the third generation of laser technology, the Amada FO stands out as a true all-rounder. Capable of reliably processing a large mix of materials with accuracy and efficiency, it is able to handle all manner of tube shapes and specs.
Shaw Sheet Metal has installed one of the latest generation of Amada bending machines for high end applications. The HG series gives greater productivity, compared to conventional equipment, and top class accuracy. It is also surprisingly environmentally efficient, using some 50% less power and 60% less oil than previously.
