Sarah Jones Pilates
I have been teaching Body Control Pilates since 2000 and have spent the last 20 years training and teaching to constantly expand my knowledge. This method enables Pilates to be accessible to everyone, from beginners through to advanced students. Regardless of age, ability and specific joint or back problems.

The work is tailored to the individual, so you progress safely and effectively to achieve your goals. I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and experience to help everyone get the best out of their Pilates experience. I teach small, friendly matwork classes in the whole Teignbridge area, from beginners up to advanced level.
Services
I have a number of small, friendly classes running in Teignmouth, Bishopsteignton, Ideford and other surrounding areas. I teach a maximum of 8 clients per class. This enables high quality tuition, individual feedback and current social distancing. The face to face classes work out to 10 a session and Zoom classes, 8. CLasses are payable as a monthly fee.
I teach private one-to-one and two-to-one sessions in my peaceful, fully equipped home studio. I use the highest quality Pilates equipment, manufactured by Balanced Body in the USA. We can use a combination of matwork and machine work to strengthen and balance the body. I have a Pilates Reformer/Tower combination.
I have been doing Sarah's Pilates classes for some years now and would highly recommend them to anyone. Sarah is a brilliant teacher. She models the exercises so well, and explains things clearly. She understands any difficulties which individuals may have, and adapts the exercises in a sensitive way.

Sarah is an excellent Pilates teacher and I have really enjoyed every session. I have learnt a great deal thanks to Sarah’s brilliant explanations of what we are doing and why. She has the gift of great clarity as well as an abundance of patience, especially with those of us who don’t always know our left from our right! The benefits of Pilates are many - my core strength is improving all the time which in turn means that i have been able to reduce the pain in my lower back and in my shoulders. Sarah's classes are relaxing, enjoyable but get you working. She's great at explaining things and makes sure that if you have any ailments the exercises either help or are carefully worked around. Pilates has helped my posture and my problems with sciatica.

Sarah is an excellent and highly professional teacher offering tailored and up to date Pilates tuition and with a drive to achieve the best result for each of her clients. Sarah is a fantastic teacher. She is friendly and approachable and she really takes the time to learn about her clients and their specific needs with individual sessions before joining a group class. She keeps the classes small so that she can pay attention to all of her students and help them to progress, adapting any movements for any back/knee/shoulder issues. Pilates classes with Sarah have greatly improved my strength and flexibility as well as easing the muscular back pain I was suffering from. Going to Sarah's classes has, for some years, been a real highlight of the week...even when it meant getting up early on a Saturday morning! Sarah's exceptional warmth and good humour, combined with her experience and expertise, mean that all students feel at home with her. We can all relax and invigorate our minds whilst stretching and toning our bodies. I could not recommend Sarah more highly.

Sarah is a fantastic teacher, very calm, knowledgable and with a Pilates body to die for. I went to her classes in Solihull for many years after a Physiotherapist recommended I go to strengthen my core after being diagnosed with arthritis in my back at the age of 39. I can’t thank Sarah enough for introducing Pilates to both myself and my Niece Joanne. We couldn’t have wished for a better teacher. Sarah teaches with a very friendly manner and gives personal attention to everybody in the class. We have both noticed improvements in flexibility and muscle tone. I have been going to Sarah for 15 years for both mat work and reformer classes. Sarah is a fantastic teacher and thoroughly lovely lady. Sarah is amazing teacher! She is patient and encouraging. Since having both hips replaced in recent years I have found Pilates an ideal way to keep mobile and active.
