Took my e-bike for a new wheel and hub, the guy built it himself and done a absolutely cracking job! Used the wheel for jumping over a month and it's still perfect, he done little extra touches on other bits I needed really went the extra mile. Very happy

I walked in asking about an issue with my bike. They had an engineer on site and were able to fix the bike that day! I'm more than impressed with the repairs and as I use my bicycle for work (delivering local takeaways!) the amount I earn daily has gone up thanks to a fully working friction free ride.

Essex Bicycles truly go above and beyond. I had been searching for a Whyte Portobello for some time and struggling due to the stock shortage throughout the UK. I was about to give up until next year, when I saw that Essex Bicycles had one in stock. I decided to call them on the off-chance that they offered a delivery service as I live in the North West. Not only did they offer to deliver the bike to my door (around 160 miles!) for a very reasonable fee, they built and serviced the bike and sent it out within one week. Truly great customer service. Finding a good bike shop is like finding a good car mechanic. Once you know you can trust both the advice they give you and the work they do it's very difficult to think about going anywhere else.
Stuart has on several occasions gone far beyond what could be expected in order to get my bike sorted and back 'on the road'. He and his team are always welcoming and happy to chat about bikes whilst offering suitable alternatives to my usually quite specific requests. He never seems to NOT be able to get hold of what i am after either.

Got in contact with Essex Bikes after seeing an advert on ebay for wheels. Stuart was extremely easy to deal with, very quick to respond, and very knowledgeable. He helped spec a set of wheels for my self-build gravel project. I'm absolutely delighted with the wheels. His advice on hubs, rims, tyres, and of course 'looks' was invaluable. Once built the wheels were shipped and arrived with me in Edinburgh before 11am the following day. Outstanding service! I would have no hesitations of buying again.
