Services
At Autumn Lodge, we have established a small luxury hotel environment that feels like a resident's own home. Three elegant Victorian houses have been tastefully converted to create a unique Care Home in an idyllic, quiet wide tree-lined road, ideally situated on level ground only five minutes from Hove seafront, within the vibrant city of Brighton & Hove and close to the local train station and buses.
We are very proud to have been given 5 stars on the Brighton & Hove 'Scores on the Doors' scheme. Extra services such as visiting hairdressers, chiropodist and optometrist are charged separately and this information is available from the home. The occupational therapist provides weekly activities that restore muscle strength and usefulness.
Autumn Lodge provides a unique care service for clients with Dementia from the young 50+ to 100+ years of age. Our long-established care team of Managers, Care Deputies and care staff have specialist Dementia training and experience which enables them to provide a service dedicated to individual assessed care needs.
At Autumn Lodge our standard of catering is excellent, with the chef providing meals which suit both ethnic and personal preferences. All our meat is fresh and delivered from our butcher with twice weekly deliveries. We also enjoy fresh fruit and vegetable delivered by our local provider three times per week.
I am a frequent visitor to my mother and see her at least every second day. I feel therefore that I speak with the conviction borne of familiarity when I state how consistent the level of care is at the home. This care extends not only to the security and comfort of the residents but also to their emotional needs.

I would not recommend this care home if you have a relative with Alzheimer's who has complex needs. They claimed they could look after my step-dad, but couldn't cope with him as it was an unsuitable environment for him which they would have known if they had read his files properly (we found this out afterwards as these were not sent to us by the social worker). It wasdisappointing as the staff are caring, but there were a number of incidents which meant it was not a safe environment for him or other residents.
I feel they were motivated by money in accepting him rather than ability to care for

As a healthcare professional I have had the opportunity to visit many care homes. I am very impressed at the level of care and professionalism at this home. There is a homely atmosphere and caring staff and there is a real sense that the staff really understand the needs of each individual. Well done

Outstanding care home.
I am physiotherapist and I have just done an internship here thanks to an Erasmus grant in a Master of Health Management. I am very proud to have worked and learnt so many things from the phenomenal and effective staff. This is a magnificent luxury care home where carers, deputies, maintenance and cleaners care exceptionally for residents to be in a safe and enjoyable place. All of it astonishingly well-led by the manager Jackie Wenham supported by the excellent Shangri-la Velasco and Gemma Mawbey.
I do highly recommend the care home.

My late uncle lived at Autumn Lodge for four and a half years. The care he received from the Manager and care staff was exceptional. My uncle had complex physical and mental health needs and he was treated with respect and dignity at all times. Whenever I visited Autumn Lodge and spoke to the staff I felt they really understood my uncle and his complex needs. My uncle formed strong bonds and relationships with the staff during his time at Autumn Lodge and this was evident whenever we visited. The activities the home organised were varied and a lot of thought went into the activities planned for
