Some great shops with bargain prices

Looking a bit 'shabby' but still plenty of shops worth visiting. The 'other end' of the the town centre is getting the 'big makeover' and looks very promising

It's ok for a warm up and getting out of the rain during the cold season. Not really any shops worth bothering with. Most of the 4 shops it contained have shipped out anyway. Turn it into something like the exscape place at Castleford.

Today I went Christmas shopping with my niece nephew and son…. The boys had had enough so I left them outside wilko in the centre…. My son called me 10 minutes later to say they had been thrown out by security and was stood freezing in the falling snow and told not to come back for 24 hours or they would be reporting them to the police. Not all teenage boys are the same they was sat with lots of shopping waiting for me doing absolutely nothing wrong…. Security need to give your head a shake not exactly doing your job is it??

Refreshingly different shopping experience, good mixture of shops. Primark and Savers in the same building.
Toy store just as you exit the car park is handy if you have to carry heavy toys.

Barnsley Alhambra Shopping Centre, always has been a favourite of mine just for the ease and convenience of indoor shopping especially when it's raining. Never have I had a problem purchasing whatever it is I have gone in for.

Went into town first time in 3 years and had a meal in the indoor cafe. It was a wonderful experience. I have lived here all my life but the new town centre is a real eye-opening experience. The only thing that spoiled my day out was the sight of drug users staggering around. It's becoming a real problem and needs addressing urgently.

Great place to visit if you want a meal or just a quick snack or coffee a very good range of different cuisines to suit almost every taste... also if you fancy an alcoholic drink there's a licensed bar too... All in all if you're in town it's well worth a visit

Not too bad at all for a town centre shopping mall , hardly any empty unit

I'd like to say I really enjoy the experience with my brother Toby and my dad. And a security guard came up to me without social distancing and he said that you can't take photos of people in shot

I'd just like to say thank you to the security guard who was at the entrance near the roundabout/underpass for taking me on my word regarding being exempt from wearing a mask while I wait on my card arriving. I've had other people refuse to believe me so it meant a lot to me and also the staff at Wilkinsons for the same reason. Thank you, you made my shopping a whole lot less distressing 👍😊

There is always something to see and a bargain to be had, staff are vigilant & polite.

By essentially banning 'work men' they clearly have an issue with people that go out and actually earn a living, where as if you are in a fake, p1ss soaked Adidas tracksuit, minimal teeth and on the rob then that's quite acceptable!!

Did some Christmas shopping and ended up winning my shopping paid for! Very thankful, highly recommend Alhambra😊
