In 1988, Chris started the business after finishing his college studies and at the same time starting his five year apprenticeship with three local sign-writers. He then proceeded to work alongside these sign-writers while running the business, travelling up and down the country on signwriting projects for various clients large and small.
Using a combination of brand guidelines, logo, colour pallet and high-tech materials and signage production processes, we can create exterior signs that have a great impact and can enhance the visibility of any business.

We can design, create and install custom vehicle graphics, from simple cut vinyl to full colour printed designs tailored to fit your vehicle.
We use the best grade magnetic sheeting which has a very high magnetic pull and stays with your vehicle. We print your design in colour using solvent inks, or you can have cut vinyl lettering to suit the design you have chosen. You also have the choice of having a protective matt or gloss lamination applied to make them very durable so they will last for many years without fading or scratching.
Roller banners ensure you'll make a dramatic impact whether you're at an exhibition, trade show or in your own premises. The easy-to-use portable display stands include your printed graphic and all come with a free carry case. The retractable system includes a bungee pole - just pull it up and slot the pole into position.

Great service from start to end, I went to Chris with some initial design ideas and he very quickly developed those into a logo for business cards and van signage. Chris seemed genuinely keen to understand my business and create a design that met my business needs and came in on budget, my van now looks great. We needed to replace our museum sign, as the previous one had deteriorated. Chris took us through the various options to ensure we found something suitable and of similar deign, but also more durable. He was very patient with questions and measurements and swiftly helped resolve an issue with fitting the sign. We're delighted with the end result and would highly recommend abc Signs and Designs.
