Yorkshire Precision Engineering Ltd (YPEL) specialise in CNC mill/turned parts using multi axis sliding head and fixed head lathes. We have achieved a reputation for consistent high standards of workmanship and service in the field of sub contract Precision Engineering. YPEL was founded in 2001 By Michael Laybourne a time served engineer with just short of four decades experience in the precision engineering sector.
At Yorkshire Precision Engineering we manufacture precision milled and turned aluminium parts up to 300mm, specialising in bar fed components up to 65mm diameter. Aluminium is the most widely used of the non-ferrous metals in the world; this is mainly due to its unique combination of properties. It is lightweight with excellent strength and elasticity.
YPEL specialise in producing complex components from a variety of materials including various grades of brass and copper. We produce components up to 300mm Specialising in bar fed components up to 65mm diameter. These are used in a wide range of applications, from plumbing to sub-sea operations, the parts produced are bespoke to your specifications and can be supplied plated in required.

Carbon and Alloy Steel components are manufactured at our site in West Yorkshire, machining mill/turned components from 1mm to 65mm bar fed and 300mm billets using CNC Sliding Head and Fixed Head Lathes. We produce components with flats, hexagons, cross holes and internal threads in a single operation giving a better quality product and substantial cost reductions.
