Simmons Optometrists has been in Oakham since 1974, but it hasn't always been as it is today, this is the story of how it started, grew and became an important part of this wonderful corner of England. Richard Simmons had qualified in 1965, working in Clapham and several London based practices of Hudson Verity, before at his request, and on getting married to Fay, he moved to their Ipswich branch.

Fantastic experience that you won't get at cheaper High Street opticians. Thorough eye health check and glasses/contact lense options explained very well. Particularly grateful to Nathan who helped me chose the right frames and was extremely knowledgeable with all my many follow up questions and calls about varifocals.
