Grace Cards and Books lies directly behind the bookshop behemoth W H Smith. Unlike the corporate giant this small family business was forced to shut down during the lockdown measures yet valiantly stayed open and provided for its loyal customer base. In the summer they offer the most fantastic range of ice cream that is produced locally. From the cold and cutting atmosphere of the sinking corporate geriatric to their rear ( Smith's ) Grace Cards and Books shines as a beacon of hope. A light shining bright for the small and original high street business ( it's in a precinct but you get the point

Don’t let people cloud you with their negativity - if people don’t like you being open, they don’t have to shop there, they can stay home and keep themselves to themselves, do their shopping online and watched nonsense news and TV propaganda while the world falls apart around them.

Been to this store a few times now and it gets better and better every time. The staff are so warm and lovely and they always bring a smile to my face. Their customer service is second to none. I always get whatever I come in for because of the fantastic customer service. I cannot recommend this store enough. The best high street card and book store ever. Cannot wait to visit again!

Fantastic indipendent card shop with accessories. The christian book department has a large range of publications. Grace also stock a huge range of cake decorating equipnent and shaped baking tins. Oh and get a great Chuchfields icecream if you have some change left!
