We see many patients who want to improve their smile or oral health for a number of different reasons. Perhaps they have a single missing tooth, or multiple missing teeth that they would like to replace. This can often be done using dental implants, providing a secure and highly durable option that has them smiling again.

I had a large gap at the back of my jaw and felt implants were the best solution to enabling me to chew again. I have always been slightly nervous of dental treatment but this process was straightforward and no worse than major fillings. The treatment was explained in detail to me and I had the reassurance that it followed a simple process once the planning had been completed through a series of examinations and x rays.

Very often there will be little or no pain after the anaesthetic has worn off, however it is important to continue to take a pain killer that also acts as an anti-inflammatory which will help reduce any swelling e.g. Ibuprofren (if not allergic). You may have some swelling and/or bruising following your treatment - this usually reaches a peak 2 to 3 days later.
