Before you can start learning to drive on public roards you must be in possession of a valid provisional driving licence. You can apply for your first provisional driving licence online or by completing a D1 application form, which is available from the DVLA form ordering service or from a post office.
The car practical driving tests are separated into three separate parts, they are: The multiple-choice theory test, the hazard perception test and the practical driving test. These fee's are payable to DVSA when you book your tests and do not include the use of your driving instructors car for the practical driving test.

I would highly recommend Garry to any relative or friend looking for a driving instructor.

Garry is a calm, experienced and respectable driving instructor. By far the best instructor in and around the Loughborough area. During the 20+ hours of lessons i had with Garry, he was always 5/10 minutes early, ready to start. The car was in perfect condition, mechanically and clean inside. During COVID, everything was thoroughly cleaned between every lesson and masks were a neccessity. The professionalism shown through Garry was exeptional and well above any other instructor or school around LE11.

I would highly recommend Garry as a driving instructor! Garry is very patient, calm, and understanding which is key when first learning to drive. He was always early to lessons and the car was always immaculate and in great condition. Garry was able to calm my nerves and build my confidence to the point where I feel more than ready to drive independently. Garry is a very experienced driving instructor, and it shows in his work ethic and vast knowledge. I would highly recommend Garry as a driving instructor. He is very professional, with lessons always being well structured in working towards progressive driving goals, and he always arrived early for lessons with the car clean and in perfect condition. He is very calm and patient with his teaching, making sure to address anything I was unsure about, and helping me to gain confidence on the roads. Garry was a fantastic teacher who guided me throughout this process. He was always punctual in being there a few minutes before every lesson. He was also very supportive in the car in easing me throughout the process of learning and applying new skills. Furthermore, he broke everything down logically so it was easy to understand. Garry has been an absolutely incredible instructor. He is always punctual and reliable, he focused each of my lessons on specific areas to help me practise and improve but also listened to what I said I wanted to focus on and included those areas within the lessons too.
He always remained calm and patient with me and had such a relaxing manner. Whenever I made mistakes, he would always be encouraging me and reassuring me, not putting me under any stress or pressure.
Before and after each lesson, Garry discussed with me my progress and reviewed how the lesson went and this was a huge help.

If you're looking to pass your driving test first time, but also enjoy yourself while learning, go with Garry Needham.
