Services
A helical staircase generally require more floor space than other types of staircase. They provide a sweeping curve around an open area for maximum aesthetic effect. The footprint of a helical staircase can be circular, elliptical, constant or tapering. A helical staircase will require a balustrade or barrier to both sides of the flight.
Profile stairs, sometimes referred to as 'zig-zag' are very popular as an alternative to a conventional straight stringer. They create a light feel to a stair and are often the favoured option when a property does not allow for a fully cantilevered design. Clients looking for contemporary stairs often consider the profile design.
As a natural extension to our quality stair and balustrade services we also offer bespoke and limited edition furniture items. Bespoke dining tables, console tables, fire surrounds, light fittings, mirrors and picture frames etc. are often requested by our clients to complement a stair installation.
This contemporary helical design was installed as a feature stair into a basement entertainment extension. The use of mirror polished and satin polished stainless steel along with curving glass was complimented by infinitely adjustable LED lighting. The combined effect allowed the client to set the mood for the event of the moment; relaxing jacuzzi, movie night, party night, etc.
