The ethos of Orchard School is based on the belief that the best possible start a child has, right from their earliest days, shapes their future in multiple different ways. For 30 years, we have had a passion for building successful futures and helping to develop each one of those in our care into amazing children.
The nursery at Orchard has a long tradition of welcoming children either as a baby or around the time of their second birthday. Our main aim for our youngest children is to help with the transition from home to nursery. We are very aware that young babies thrive on warm and consistent love and care, and it is very important that your baby feels safe and secure.

Orchard Nursery opened in 1991 in the rural location of Barton le Clay, Bedfordshire, providing early years education for two to five-year old's. The nursery offered an extended day, primarily for working mothers and offering an age appropriate curriculum developed by the National Children's Bureau.
First and foremost, welcome to the Orchard School website and thank you for taking the time to visit us digitally. The founding of Orchard School and Nursery in 1991 was based on the observations I had of very young children and their 100% enthusiasm for life.
From the outset, Orchard School has been designed to nurture that eagerness which exists within all children, keep their 'why' questions coming and encourage the 'how' - no matter how challenging they are to answer on occasion.

All classrooms within Orchard have been designed with a modern feel and benefit from large amounts of natural light creating a bright and airy environment. The various indoor areas of the school have been made even more comfortable following the introduction of air-conditioning. We have a large school hall, where lunch, school assemblies, dance classes and indoor sports are held.
The wellbeing and happiness of pupils is of paramount importance at Orchard. Pastoral care is regarded as an essential part of the school & nursery's ethos and we pride ourselves in providing a warm, family atmosphere with high moral values. It also supports the government's Every Child Matters framework, with five outcomes: achieving economic well being, staying safe, being healthy, enjoying and achieving, and making a positive contribution.

Terrible school, don't care about pupils. Only care about rank on league table so will never push your child to full potential. Students on regular act like morons inside and out side of school and have no manners. Teachers don't tackle any problems in the school such as bullying and discrimination.
