Open to everyone, Kadampa Meditation Centre Kent is a special place of peace and refuge. We offer a variety of inspiring classes and courses that allow you to learn how to meditate, bring real meaning to your life and access the timeless wisdom of Buddha's teachings. In-depth weekly study programs, chanted prayers and retreats are also provided for people who want to deepen their understanding.
Developing kindness and a good intention towards others doesn't always come naturally, we all need to work at it. For three mornings a week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday KMC Kent resident teacher James will give some explanation and guide traditional Buddhist meditations for training in loving kindness.
In Buddhism, painful emotions are known as 'delusions'. They are called this precisely because they are delusional ways of seeing the world and they distort our perceptions. Therefore, delusions such as anger, desirous attachment, jealousy, and deluded pride are completely unreliable states of mind, guaranteed to create unhappiness for ourself and others.
These radical ways of thinking can turn everyday difficulties and problems on their head and revolutionise our life. This course consists of positive, practical advice which we can immediately start to practice and it also includes guided meditations by Buddhist Nun Kelsang Oden. Through gaining insights into these fundamental Buddhist beliefs we become more peaceful, live with greater purpose and chart a course for future happiness and success.
The uncertainty of the future, difficult relationships, conflictual situations are a few of the many challenges we regularly face throughout our life. It is probably fair to say that we are very familiar with the reoccurring feeling that something is not quite right, which inevitably leads to worry and so prevents us from being truly at ease.

I have attended classes and events at the centre for over two years now and the quality of the teachings have been excellent. The centre is very welcoming and the classes offer an excellent mix for all levels whether it is your first time or you have been meditating for years. Would definitely recommend the centre if you are looking to destress or increase your inner peace and wisdom!

I started online meditation classes with Jampel Centre in April in the hope of finding some comfort during challenging times. The experience has been wonderful and gone far beyond my hopes and expectations. I am new to meditation and I found the classes very helpful. They are accessible and very friendly. I've started 6 weeks ago with "Karma: how to transform your life " online with Chelvi and love it. I've since become a member so I can access all classes online and catch up (online for 7 days). I found it really helps to stay grounded and be more patient with my kids. I'm practising being happy from the inside and planting seeds to good karma! Thank you so much. Hopefully, I can one day meet you all in person at the centre...
