Having trained and qualified in the profession with Hemming Graham & Co., Chartered Accountants, Richard then worked with the Audit Commission carrying out audits, value for money and other consultancy projects. During the 1990's he developed Richard Atkinson & Co. into one of the leading Chartered Accountancy practices in Lincolnshire, prior to merging with Saul Fairholm.
