I followed a conventional course of training at Southampton University and qualified in medicine in 1984. After working at St Mary's Hospital in Portsmouth I began training in Homeopathy. I have been in full-time practice as a Homeopathic doctor since 1986. I am a Fellow of the Faculty of Homeopathy and serve as the Independent Practitioners' Representative on the Faculty Council.
I am the Wessex Regional Tutor for the Faculty of Homeopathy, organizing postgraduate training in Homeopathy for doctors in the region. I am asked to give seminars on various aspects of Homeopathic practice throughout the UK and Europe. When I was a medical student at Southampton University we had to conduct some original research.

Services
Some people come with no specific illness, but complain of feeling generally unwell, run-down or lethargic, with perhaps a number of minor but unpleasant symptoms. This is the first sign of a deterioration in a person's vitality, and Homeopathy can help to restore the person to a state of health and well-being.
In general more women seek Homeopathic treatment than men, possibly because they are more open-minded! Homeopathy is just as effective for men of course. You do not have to believe it will work for it to be effective - many sceptics have found to their surprise that Homeopathic treatment worked for them in spite of their doubts.
The medicines can help bring about improvements in well-being, setting a child in good stead for a healthy and happy life. There are Homeopathic remedies used for teething problems, sleep disturbances and infant colic. Poor vitality can lead to recurrent colds, with ear infections, sore throats, coughs and tonsillitis.
