I have a deep routed love and connection with all aspects of the creative world, but I'm also passionate about people and their personal stories. For me great interior design isn't about trend, it's about weaving the story of your life through your home!
By the time I left the Royal College of Art, I had a degree in Theatre Design and an MA in Film Production design in my pocket and I spent the next 10 years working in the Film Industry -surrounded by craftsman, creatives and (let's not forget) movie stars! It was an amazing experience but in 2003 it was time to wave the films goodbye as I started to focus on the home and look at how our surroundings make us feel.

Working with an interior designer for the first time might seem quite daunting! To help you, I've added some FAQs below to try to answer some of the questions you might have. If I haven't covered your question, please do feel free to get in touch using my contact details. Many people think that hiring an interior designer will be too expensive or that they'll lose control.
Creating cohesive, beautiful and well functioning homes that tell your individual story is the aim when it comes to the full service design. This includes the completion of entire homes, groups of rooms, or a solitary room in a single installation. I know that home is the most important place in the world.
Are you planning to make some structural changes to your house but can't visualise your ideas? Or have you worked with an architect to create a plan for an extension or remodel and want to make sure all the details of how you will live in the space have been thought about before you commit to the final plan to hand over to the builder?
Kitchens are often part of a family room or open plan space and a redesign to these spaces require consideration of layout and flow to get the very best out of your investment of a new kitchen. You have your kitchen supplier in place and require advice on selecting materials, ie. Cabinet finishes, worktops, flooring, lighting, wall colours, tiling and soft furnishings.

I had no idea that an Interior Designer could be so accessible! I found Kate via her website..... we talked and I liked her ideas. She opened our minds to new colours, styles, furniture and ideas. The result is a wonderfully restyled bedroom, a practical family room and a colourful study/spare room. Kate also introduced us to Mick the Carpenter whose work is second to none. We could not have achieved anything so stylish without Kate

We are absolutely thrilled with our new kitchen/ living/dining room. We started off a little confused about what we wanted, but Kate really listened to us and helped crystallise our ideas and we’ve ended up with a perfect space that really suits our tastes and lifestyle. From designing the layout to helping choose curtain fabrics, Kate was there every step of the way. We felt she really understood what we wanted even better than we did, and she worked really well with our builder to help us achieve this!

Kate is so creative and incredibly talented. We simply gave her our likes and dislikes and she distilled these into brilliant design ideas for our living room. We are absolutely delighted with the results and are in awe of having a room that truly reflects our personalities and doesn’t compromise on comfort, style or the practicalities of having young children.
