We purchased a Transit Van and drove it 40 miles down the road and then the engine management light came on!!
We called the garage when we got home and we got the van booked in.
Unsure what they had done, but they had made the problem worse.
We then had black smoke coming out of the exhaust!!!
At that point we asked for a refund.
At the time of purchase we noticed that the van had a stone chip on the front drivers side windscreen.
The van was also advertised with three months warranty. (Be careful, as this was a chargeable item on the return of the van!!!)

Van seemed OK at first but after picking the van up after an MOT I noticed the steering wheel wasn’t straight, horrible knocking sound, front drivers side wheel wobble to the point it was to dangerous to drive!!
Took the van to a local garage to check if the MOT had been done properly to find out it had steering rack issues, ball joints, and wheel… bearing had gone! Dodgy MOT done which in fact was probably just signed off without even looking?
Nick the owner didn’t question anything when I texted to tell him what I had discovered and a full refund was given right away. Can&rsquo
