Andrew Hennell has been collecting and dealing in period oak furniture and country furniture and antiquities for over 35 years, placing numerous items into both museum and private collections with many pieces having being published. Many of the items held in stock are fresh to the market and have been sourced privately with Andrew spending a third of the year based in South West France visiting clients in their homes from whom many of the early pieces are acquired.
Locating early pieces of period oak furniture and antiquities from private sources is time consuming and when an opportunity arises to take a look at something that is 'fresh to the market' that has not been trawled through the auction rooms, Andrew will travel to a client's home to appraise the originality and condition of such an item with a view to acquiring it should it be worthy of inclusion in Andrew's personal collection or for resale.
