Hall's Auctioneers and Valuers were established in 1995 in Galashiels in the beautiful Scottish Borders by Michael Hall, who previously trained with Dowell's Auctioneers at 65 George Street, Edinburgh, in the early 1970's for three years and then spent the next 22 years dealing in antiques and collectables, before returning to auctioneering.
With an interest and fascination in history it was easy to see why I have always been interested in antiques, since they are the tangible items relating to history. The salesroom is situated on the ground floor of Ladhope Vale House and lies next to the main A7 on the north side and the Gala Water to its southern boundary.
