Concept Stairs

Our company entered the staircase market with our Tierra model spiral staircase in 2002. We initially manufactured acrylic and timber tread Tierra spiral staircases and then progressed to a number of bespoke glass and stainless steel spiral staircase projects.

Prior to our appearance on Grand Designs in 2005 we designed our support system for floating cantilever tread staircases which we then incorporated into the Killearn Loch House project as featured on Channel 4. Following the airing of this programme and our appearance at the Grand Designs Live show we began to specialise in both glass and timber floating staircases.

We are the specialists in the design, manufacture and installation of bespoke glass feature staircases ranging from floating cantilever through to steel frames with glass tread designs. We also undertake glass walkways, plinths and all forms of frameless structural glass balustrading as part of the staircase contract.

We are able to provide a wide variety of feature timber tread staircase designs ranging from specialist bespoke floating cantilever, both straight and helical, folded tread and rise zig zag designs, spine and inset stringer designs through to traditional plate steel stringer staircases.

The majority of our timber tread staircases feature structural glass panels as balustrade but we are also able to offer stainless steel uprights with glass infill panels.Should a handrail be required this can either take the form of slotted stainless or hardwood. With our feature timber staircases we are able to incorporate glass landings and walkways to enhance the design.

We are able to offer a variety of feature bespoke wooden and glass spiral staircases designs. Our main spiral staircase design features our cast aluminium 'Tierra' bracket. We have concentrated on the shape of the bracket as we feel this makes us unique in the world of spiral stairs. The Tierra bracket not only fulfills its function but also lends itself to the overall flow of the stair.

As a company, we have worked with clients from around the globe and work to the highest standards possible. We have undertaken a number of international projects in Ireland, mainland Europe, USA and the Caribbean to name a few. Following the success of our appearance on Channel 4's Grand Designs 'Killearn Loch House' project in 2005, we have established ourselves as the specialists in bespoke glass and timber floating cantilever staircases.
