Hi, I'm Clare and I opened To Have and to Hold Bridalwear in my hometown village of Mirfield, West Yorkshire in 2002 after I struggled to find the perfect dress for my wedding. The business has grown considerably since then, we are stockists of award winning wedding dresses by Mon Cheri, Sophia Tolli, Martin Thornburg, Mia Mia Bridal by Alan Hannah, Mark Lesley & Lucy Grace.

Wedding Dresses by Sophia Tolli provide both classic and couture designs including strapless ball gowns, A-line dresses, halters and slim skirts. Wedding dresses with Sophia's signature draping and corset backs provide an impeccable fit. Our collection has two distinct feelings: soft romanticism and traditional bridal drama.

Absolutely perfect shop and service. Clare went the extra mile to find my lovely sister a wedding dress at the last minute, so I looked for a bridesmaid dress there too. I tried about 10 dresses on and the staff were super helpful in helping me into and out of dresses. The dress I chose needed a fair bit of alterations which were done super quickly and efficiently, but the lovely seamstress was happy to make more as and when needed. All the staff are really friendly and pleasant, I'm usually quite shy and awkward around strangers so I thought stripping down to my underwear in front of people would

I can't recommend this bridal shop enough. I had just been let down my an online purchase (what was I thinking?!) and had only 2 weeks until my wedding and it was the 23rd December. In a huge panic we contacted as many bridal shops as possible and my heart sank when I realised so many of them were closed over the christmas period.
Later that evening I got a phone call from Clare saying she'd open the shop for me on Christmas eve so I could come in and have a look. What a life saver! I tried on about 10 dresses in total and found the one I wanted. Nothing was too much of an ask and Clare went above

Well how can I put into words how amazing Clare and all the rest of the girls are! From the minute I walked in there I knew that I was going to be well looked after. Its very rare to find bridal suppliers that you know you can rely on! Not only that they were also all done in the shop itself!. Clare has an amazing selection of bridesmaid dresses and every dress fit my girls like a glove. They looked so beautiful! Wow what a wonderful shop with such friendly workers. Clare herself was super friendly and accommodating! It was the only shop I went in to try on wedding dresses and didn't need to look any further. I tried on 5 dresses and all of them I would say were 9/10, but one of them stood out the most (10/10)! Claire was so patient with me trying on all the dresses and got a tiara and a veil for me to try on with the dress too, making it more realistic because I wanted these on my wedding day. She was not pushy one bit! Such a lovely lady! :-)

I would highly recommend this shop to everyone! Such a large selection of gorgeous dresses and Clare offers expert knowledge and advice when it comes to bridal dress shopping. I'd been searching for a prom dress for awhile when I drove past To Have and To Hold and saw the most gorgeous dress in one of the amazing window displays. As soon as I tried it on I was in love with it. Everybody there was so friendly and seemed almost as excited as I was to be trying the dress back on when we went back for fittings. I had the most amazing night at prom and I got so many compliments on my dress. Would highly recommend, thank you so much Clare!

So lucky to have chosen To have and to hold as the very first place to try on wedding dresses. As soon as we walked on me and my mum were greeted so warmly. I chose a fair few beautiful dresses to try on, Clare was so lovely and put me at ease straight away, and was never hurried along, there was no pressure at all.
