Services
Here at The Wool Shop, Jean offers a professional long arm quilting service. Many of our customers love to create beautiful patchwork quilt tops but find they often stay that way as quilting them on a domestic sewing machine can be a bit tricky. If you have quilt tops that need transforming into quilts please contact us or bring it into The Wool Shop to show Jean, she is happy to discuss patterns and give you a quote.
Come along to one of our patchwork and quilting workshops, held upstairs at The Wool Shop in Ludlow. Booking is essential as spaces are limited. 3 per session - includes tea, coffee and biscuits and help with your project if you need it! All courses will be held in the upstairs area at The Wool Shop, 13 Broad Street, Ludlow, SY8 1NG.

Shop owner is abrupt and very unwelcoming, I needed advice about what length circular needles to use and was misadvised by the owner.
When taking my contactless payment she asked me not to leave the shop until she had made sure the payment had been processed - it was her tone that was unpleasant. I am not alone in my views & experience so instead of enduring her poor customer service skills I will spend my money in The Wool Shop in Leominster.

There’s something particularly depressing about finding a local yarn store, then being ignored by the staff. I went into look for some yarn to knit winter hats. I couldn’t find anything suitable at first glance, so I waited by the till. A member of staff went behind the till, wouldn’t look at me or make eye contact, then disappeared into the back of the shop. So I left.
A few minutes later my wife went into the shop to see if I was still there. She was told: “HE wouldn’t be in here.”
He definitely won’t be in there again.

Had to return circle knitting needles as the wire came away. Owner would not give a refund, as I has used them (duh). Went to collect the replacement on Thursday, shop was closed. Advertised as open. Plus the owner is so un-friendly, really puts one off from shopping their. Know I am not alone in this.
