David Duggleby Auctioneers & Valuers is a family-run business, established in 1996 by David and Jane Duggleby; initially run by the duo alone, we have now expanded into a nearly 30-strong team across three locations. Our Head Office and Salerooms are located at Vine Street, in the heart of Scarborough and just five minutes' walk from the railway station.
In 2018 we opened The Valuation Office at Wednesday Market, Beverley, from which we provide free valuations and sales advice, and hold previews for our Fine Art sales. Our sister company, David Duggleby Movers & Storers, operate from Great Hill, Eastfield, and this acts as a base for our Auction Logistics service, allowing us to provide a national delivery service for items of any size.

This was probably one of the most pleasant and professional experiences purchasing from David Duggleby auctions in Scarborough , from my initial enquiry of a condition report right through to delivery , I simply couldn't fault them, I explained over the phone to a lovely lady that I recently hurt my back and that I wouldn't be able to carry or help lifting the 3 section wardrobe up two flights of stairs into a bedroom , she told me not to worry it would be done for me, the two young chaps that delivered it were courteous and professional and carried each section about 50 yards before carrying the

Great experience dealing with David Duggleby.
I am watch collector so deal with auctions quite often, but I have never made purchase of this kind before. Sewing and Embroidery machine, treat for my missus. Very easy from moment of wining lot until lot delivered. Easy options to settle invoice, good communication on tracking and progress, very well protected and packed! Minor issue with power cable not arriving with unit but they are already investigating and I am sure it will be sorted.
Will recommend this auction house.
Thank you

This was my first on line auction that I'd ever parcipitated in. I was impressed that every detail of the process was flawlessly spelled out. As I live overseas from David Dugglebys Auctions, I was concerned about safe delivery of my item. I received my parcel safely yesterday. I must say the packing was superby done. And the item I won was just as superb. Sarah kept me aware of all I needed to know to make this process work for me. Thank you for the great communication!

Good website and nice sales room. My first time at an auction I was unprepared for the additional 20% on top of the hammer price even though it was sign posted.
Not sure if this is the norm but considering both the buyer and seller get charged it looks like being auctioneers is a very profitable business indeed!

Me and my Mother came across some items from my Grandmothers estate and we were uncertain of the value of them. David Duggleby Auctioneers valued these and advised suitable reserves based on their guidance. From start to finish it was handled brilliantly. They were advertised excellently on the website and sold for a very good price. If we hadn't brought them in, we would have thrown them in the skip.
I have also being a buyer at David Duggleby Auctioneers for many years due to the high quality furniture they sell with a very reasonable estimate.

I want to express my appreciation of David Duggleby Auctioneer with reference to their recent auction
(January 9 2016)where I bought ONLINE a variety of antiques, including a very heavy etching press, some glazed pictures and a large quantity of Sunderland lustre and other ceramics.A very heavy load in all and every item carefullyand so professionally packed.! These diverse items arrived safe and sound, and punctuallydelivered, today: the packing of the items was excellent and the delivery slot completely punctual, and as arranged.
I have had some rather dismal experiences of buying at auction
