We are a team of highly experienced solicitors who specialise in handling a wide variety of disputes and problems that need solving. Formed in 1983, Martin Cray & Co's Brighton law firm has been supporting clients across East Sussex and the rest of the UK with cases on a local and international scale.

Our solicitors have over 30 years experience in dealing with criminal law, family law and business law and we are proud to be recognised for our empathy and understanding as much as for our preparation and assertive trial representation. We are on hand to be your safety net, regardless of whether you have reached out to us before.
Services
Martin Cray & Co. is an experienced bespoke litigation firm that handles a wide variety of disputes or problems that need problem solving. We are based in Brighton and handle cases locally, in the South East, London and internationally. As a boutique litigation firm we have the time and availability to deal directly without our clients at any time.
You never know what life will throw your way. When issues arise that require a family law solicitor you don't want to add the stress of finding someone you can trust on top of everything else. Our Brighton family law lawyers are experienced in handling a range of cases and we often find that once our clients work with us on one occasion, we become their solicitor of choice.
If parents cannot agree on who should take custody of children then both parties can seek a Child Arrangement Order. This Court Order is usually necessary when there are children present during a separation or divorce where no amicable agreement can be decided. Our child arrangement solicitors can assist with disputes as to who will look after the children when, and also help to agree on a schedule with your former partner if needs be.
A cohabitation agreement (also known as a cohabitation contract, cohabitation deed or living together agreement) is an agreement entered into by two or more people who live together. In the UK there is no such thing as a common-law husband, wife or civil partner.

This means that the law makes assumptions about your circumstances and particularly your financial circumstances that mean that sometimes they are not representative of the true situation.A Cohabitation Agreement sets out the Parties' respective interests in the Home, how household expenses are to be paid during cohabitation and outlines what should happen if the Parties no longer want to live together.
Going through divorce, separation or dissolution of same sex civil partnerships and marriages can be extremely tough so we are here to take some of the weight off of your shoulders. We can even offer you a fixed fee in respect of the divorce proceedings, dependent upon the circumstances of your case.

I went to Martin cray & Co. When I needed advise on how to approach a situation and start court proceedings. I had used them previously
Donna Robinson has been fantastic throughout guiding me at every step no false hope was given to me just facts and what approach we needed to take. When compared to the other side's solicitor its very clear to see the level of professionalism she provided. It couldn't of been done without their amazing legal help I can't thank them enough
