Waterside Bistro

Gorgeous food, sat in a snuggly window seat. Friendly staff recognised us from last few times we've been here. Spoke to other diners, they had nice meal too.

Simply but stylishly decorated restaurant, in a great location, at the bottom of the high-street and beside the River Dart. Nice, seasonal, menu and delightfully warm service. Highly recommended

Dropped by late one afternoon, had a wonderful pizza and a desert to match!
Very friendly staff, accommodated unusual allergy requirements!
Were true to local produce, including local wine served by the glass!

Great food. Ordered pizza and garlic bread. Arrived quickly. Great location on the waterside. Tad expensive but don't mind paying when the food is as good as it was.

My friends & I are still not ready to be in close confines indoors with others, so we wanted to go somewhere & eat outside.
You can't book the outside tables - they're first come first served. The tables next to the river go first.
You decide what food & drink you want and make a note of your table number. You then order outside at the till & pay by card. You can also order drinks & desserts by scanning the QR code on your table & ordering online.
Portions were very good and the food was nice quality. Service was great too.
We went early (approx 17.45) and the food came out very quickly.

Fantastic place, seating outside lovely spot by the river Dart. Attentive engaged service,, no booking required, no queue, covid safe, hardly any wait, fab kids menu, tasty adult food from posh lobster to fancy fish pie, to burgers, pizzas. Lovely pint of Devon ale and glass of Provence french rose wine 🌹🍷

Great atmosphere down by the river and clearly popular in good weather due to a large outside area. Staff doing a great job and service is quick. Cannot recommend the food, however. Very overpriced with an unimaginative menu - probably best to stick to the pizzas if you really want to eat!

It was really great, the drink was good. But I wasn’t happy with the presentation of the crab salad for the price we paid. I think we could have gotten more for the value of a pub meal. Also the pizza could have been more fluffy, it was sort of flat, lots of great flavours but little texture.

Always a warm welcome and a lovely atmosphere. My favourite restaurant in this cracking little town 😊🍷🥩👍🏻

I won’t be coming here as planned.
A friend of mine come to the Waterside bistro to find they will not accept cash as payment for their food, beverage and service. But, they will accept cash for tips as indicated. This is blatant hypocrisy!
There is NO scientific evidence to date that supports this ridiculous notion that a virus can be… transmissible through the handling if cash. None! So why are some business supporting this nonsense?
Boycott any establishment that refuses cash. We do not want to be in a cashless society.#Boycottwatersidebistrototnes

Popped in here for lunch on 3rd June, very clean environment and dining area well spaced out.
We were greeted by a young lady whom was also our waitress, she was really friendly, very polite and informative.
Nothing was too much trouble, really attentive.
We made a point of telling her how nice our experience had been because of her attitude.
The food was reasonably priced and was presented well and tasted great. Highly recommended.

Located right on the river with a great little patio area for al fresco dining. The food menu and drink selection are excellent in this privately run bistro. The service is also top notch along with the ambience. No rousy crowds or lager louts. Happy hour on Thursdays from 7pm. Brilliant!
