St Bernadette's Catholic Primary School
My name is Mrs Jayne Keegan-Hobbs. I am the Headteacher of St Bernadette's Catholic Primary School. Our school is a happy, vibrant school with children from a range of cultures and backgrounds. St Bernadette's is a little village school which has 105 children. Our children start in Reception with an intake of 15.

This means that they get lots of individual attention, challenge and support which enables them to flourish during their first year in school. We have very good links with our on site Nursery(Cloud 9) and local feeder nursery settings. Children in Years 1-6 are taught in mixed year groups and we concentrate on the ability, strengths and needs of the child, rather than their year group.
Services
Mental Maths is a focus at St Bernadette's and we want to work with parents to make sure our children are successful in learning all about numbers. Here are some ways you can help us to help your child. If your child is in RECEPTION CLASS, please help us by working with your child in ordering and recognising numbers up to at least ten, saying what is 1 more and less, writing the numbers and lots of counting.
St Bernadette's is a small, highly successful Catholic Primary School with high demand for places. We now have 90+ pupils on the school roll, including approximately one third Catholic and two thirds non-Catholic in most age-groups. We work in partnership with Cloud 9 Nursery, a privately-run setting which operates on-site at St Bernadette's.
We went to find out more about the Jewish faith, traditions and customs. We caught the bus and the tram to get to the synagogue and were met there by Geoffrey, who showed us around. We had a brilliant. We are in the Express and Star again! After headcount reached an all time low of 49 in 2008, questions were asked again about keeping the school open, and fearful teachers and staff worked tirelessly to turn things around.
