The club was founded in 1923 and started playing at its Penrhyn Avenue ground in Rhos-on-Sea in 1924. The 1st and 2nd teams play in their respective ECB First Divisions of the Liverpool and District Cricket Competition. Colwyn Bay Cricket Club was assessed as the best ground in the Competition for the 13th successive year in 2018.
Our ladies and girls teams play both in North Wales and in the L&DCC. Our 3rd team and junior sides play local teams. We have under 9s, under 10s, under 11s, under 13s and under 15s all playing in the Cricket Wales North Wales Leagues. We also run an "Allstars" group and a "Dynamos" group from 5 years, and 8 years respectively.

I have missed cricket so much & Colwyn Bay CC offers that insight of things to come when international grounds open up. This is a friendly local club set in a suntrap with seating all round. It shares a decent car park with the bowling club next door & is on a well served bus route between Llandudno & Rhyl. The bar & seating offer views over the whole playing area & separate conference rooms are available.

Ideal for the funeral gathering we had. We catered for 30 and it was about right, as 35 came. There was plenty of food, nicely prepared and arranged. They made extra and kept it behind the scenes, just in case more came, or the existing number were hungrier. We didn't get charged for that and it wasn't needed. A lovely touch were, the very large scones, left open, in half, with a dish of jam and a dish of whipped cream by their side. The lady and other staff were very nice, and very helpful. I would recommend this place for any gathering. I would also like to thank everyone there.

Very nice lounge. Pleasant and can see out on to the cricket grounds. Have functions rooms bar and snooker tables. Plenty of parking and disabled parking free. Can also arrange small support groups and also arrange for tea coffee and biscuits at reasonable rates. Would recommend. There are yearly charges which vary and quite reasonable.
