Aubyn Davies was founded in 1906 by Aubyn Carew Davies in St Johns Street and relocated 2 years later two doors down to its present location, a former Boots store. The business has remained independent and is now run by Richard Poole his Great Grandson. As independent traders we pride ourselves on being able to offer an excellent level of customer service.

We visited your store today not knowing we had to book an appointment (which we felt awful for once we knew) to purchase our Son's uniform, We were served by a wonderful young man who was extremely helpful, patient, professional and kind. Our Son is now fully kitted out for His new school, thank you and especially thank you to that young man.

New to the area, came in for school uniform. Was helped by a blonde lady who may have been Eastern Europe. She was really helpful and made my daughter feel completely at ease. Very polite and friendly. Chatted briefly to a slightly older Geordie lady on the way out who seemed equally friendly. Top marks for customer service, but very expensive uniforms for the only shop in town.

Went in for the first time on Thursday, I found a good selection of clothing ,high quality brands with really informed friendly service. The best bit for me was their handling of the COVID-19 regulations, you are allowed to try things on and if you don't buy them they go straight into quarantine. Not being local to Bury i wouldn't of brought anything had I not been able to try the items on.
What I find sad looking at the reviews listed for this shop is their only bad review is not regarding the shopping experience but some nut job complaining about not being able to park in their staff carpark

We recently visited the shop to purchase uniform. We couldn’t have asked for better service, the staff are great. All the Covid guildlines are clearly being followed. The appointment system is excellent and ran smoothly. We were in and out within 15 minutes, completely stress free.

Steve and I went looking for a tweed jacket yesterday, rugby reunion next Saturday and very traditional dress code! We headed into town, so what better place to go than here! And what a treat! Absolutely beautiful traditional and modern clothes for all ages. We received nothing but class from beginning to end with the service. Steve now has an… beautiful tweed jacket to wear. Thank you from two very happy customers... can’t recommend this gorgeous department enough, and the staff are the most obliging and helpful people you could wish for ♥️♥️♥️

What an amazing shop. The customer service is fantastic, the staff here are so friendly and helpful. This shop is well worth a visit with its beautifully presented clothes.
When I called and asked where the best place to park is they were only too happy to let me use their car park where I had a gentleman wait at the door for me and hold the door open as he welcomed me into the shop. Top quality clothes, customer service and facilities.
