Services
Atlantis Swimming Academy provides community learn to swimming and aquatic skills instruction/lessons for both Babies and Adults at the Winifred Holtby Academy Pool & Tweendykes Hydrotherapy Pool Parent Baby & Toddler Classes from 12 weeks. Children pre-school from age 3 years to 16 years, all with different abilities and needs.
From the main entrance doors sign in with the community staff on duty this is for two reasons one it is part of the facilities safe guarding policy and reason two for Health and Safety e.g. in the event of fire. Changing rooms for the main pool are the second and third doors on the left hand side in between the drinking fountain.
At Atlantis, we offer Baby and Toddler Swimming lessons and water confidence with safety as our number one priority. We provide a gentle introduction to baby swimming in a playful, fun and safe environment with a progression that will develop natural swimming skills. Our passionate goal is to teach Baby and Toddler Swimming skills that not only help baby & Toddlers how to love water but to also be confident and respect it.
RLSS UK's Rookie Lifeguard programme gives your child the skills they need to be confident in and around the swimming pool, sea or open water - which means peace of mind for you. With colourful materials and fun, varied activities, the Rookie Lifeguard scheme teaches children how to swim and enjoy water safely, whether in shallow or deeper water.
We accept card payments over the telephone or at the facility, cheques by post or at the facility and cash at the facility. You must inform your child of the pool rules, tell them that they have to walk at all time in the swimming pool and changing areas and to listen to the teacher/staff and not to get in or out of the pool until the teacher gives permission.

We have been with Atlantis swim academy for last 4 - 5 years. We really appreciate the patience and experience of the instructors at Atlantis. This is the second swimming school for our kid, and we were able to see the difference after the initial couple of months itself. We were amazed how the instructors are handling the swimming sessions for the little kids and how they make them feel comfortable. Very professional and friendly staff. We even had a birthday pool party here once. Thank you, Atlantis, for providing such an excellent experience. Definitely recommended to friends and family.

Atlantis has been a great fit for our family. The teachers really focus on each student and work with them to feel comfortable in the water so they are more confident to learn how to swim.
My son has gained so much confidence in the water thanks to the Atlantis program - he’s a little fish now!

The one-on-one lessons are remarkable. Our son has made great progress and always looks forward to his lessons. His teacher is patient, persistent and knows how to motivate him. She cares and is passionate about each student's unique needs. Atlantis Swim Academy is impeccable, especially during the pandemic, they go above and beyond. We are so happy to have found Atlantis Swim Academy. The staff is supportive around scheduling.

Our kids have been going to Atlantis Swim Academy for three years now - our oldest recently finished as she became a very confident and proficient swimmer with ASA, so no longer needs lessons. Our youngest refused to get his face and head under water for several months, but every instructor he had, was so patient and understanding, and let him get to it in his own time. Our son has been attending Atlantis for 3 years now. We have had an excellent experience the whole time through, and his skills continue to improve noticeably. They are extremely helpful with scheduling any makeups when you need to miss class for one reason or another, and this has allowed us to experience many of the teachers, ALL of whom are FANTASTIC! My 5 month old grand daughter is just completing her first eight week course. She is so at the ease in the water and she seems to love every minute. I think more importantly it has given her parents the confidence to build great foundations in such an Important life skill. Ian and his staff are brilliant with the babies and their parents.
