Services
Spotlight Academy regularly puts on shows at The Gatehouse Theatre, Stafford and The Brewhouse Arts Centre, Burton On Trent. They are one of the highlights of our calendar, are always a huge success and are greatly enjoyed by both pupils and audiences alike.
These productions are important to the school because they provide a focal point for the children to work towards, showcase their talents and gives them an exciting opportunity to perform in front of a live audience in a professional theatre setting. We do understand that not all children enjoy this type of environment and we always seek parental permission first.

Throughout the year, we hold various dance and performance workshops designed to give our youngsters the opportunity to develop their theatre skills in a fun and creative atmosphere. The children are taught by qualified and DBS checked teachers and we regularly invite additional trainers who are currently working as performers in the theatre or entertainment industries.
We loved the show. I even made Trevor come this time and he loved it, especially the drama group performing revolting children. Taking the same succesful approach as we do with our dance lessons, we utilise the IDTA performing arts syllabus which is intended to make lessons fast-paced, engaging and fun.
We ask that anyone taking part in our classes wears the appropriate uniform and the correct footwear. However, we do understand that it is not always possible to purchase everything that is needed straight away and so we ask that your child has the basic times within the first three months of lessons.
When it comes to celebrating a special occasion such as a birthday, why not have a dance party? A dance party is a great way for youngsters to have a brilliant time and learn some new dance skills. Firstly, a teacher or teachers (the number of teachers depends on the number of children at the party and their ages) will arrive with the sound equipment and disco lights, as well as all the music needed for the party.
