Richard Harris holds a Diploma In Podiatric Medicine (DPodM) and is a Member of the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists (MChS). Richard Harris, DPodM, MChS, is a fully qualified chiropodist and podiatrist in Rutland, and is on the Health Care Professions Council Register.
He graduated from Sussex School of Chiropody in 1987, after completing a three year full time diploma in Podiatric Medicine. By the age of 25, he had been appointed Deputy District Chiropodist for the Isle of Wight Health Authority with a responsibility for the area's Specialist Diabetes Care Centre, and serving on the Wessex Endocrine and Diabetes Group, formulating policies on Podiatric Care for Diabetics.

The nails can be reduced and cleaned up, I can discuss treatment options and take nail samples for path lab analysis if desired. Depending on the severity, either simply manage conservatively with cutting, try to encourage nail growth clear of the sulcus or administer Local Anaesthetic and remove part of the nail and prevent regrowth.
