Boston Indoor Bowling Club re-opened in mid-May as lockdown restrictions were being eased across the country. Many members were happy to return to play in a variety of day leagues over the summer, until the end of August. The new winter season started at the beginning of September with the traditional Dickinson Pairs knockout.

Services
The club is now open 7 days a week, please look under 'opening times' for when we are open as times vary for each day. Monday to Friday we hold day leagues, beginners league is on a Tuesday 2-3.30 pm, night leagues are played a Monday and Tuesday evening, ocassionally on a Thursday. Thursday and Friday the club holds club, county and national competitions.
Mr. Frank Pitcher and Mr Ted Gratton (pictures in the lounge) decided to build an Indoor Bowling Green in Boston. A Ltd Company was formed under the name of Boston and District Indoor Bowling Club with 1300 shares valued at 5 each, this giving a capital of 6,500; these shares were sold mainly to people playing bowls.
Bowls can be played in many formats, singles, pairs, triples and fours. It can be played in teams of whatever number you wish. Bowls can be played competitively at local, national and international level or can be a social pastime, whatever you want. Bowlers with a disability can compete with or against non-disabled bowlers in most situations.

Under the guidance of Rod West a qualified coach, who took over from the previous coordinator in 2007, Boston has a thriving and successful Junior Section with 18 & Under and Under 25 County Winners and in the past we have had 2 Under 18 England Internationals.
We have 20 members at present with ages ranging from 8 - 18 who are all keen and competitive and compete in County individual and team competitions including the Lincolnshire I.B.A. 18 and Under League.Within the Junior Section, there are 6 competitions held each year for which trophies are awarded - singles, pairs, triples, fours, league and skills within the Cub are 18 & under senior and junior singles.
