Sometimes an image tells a story - the picture above, shows Kelly, the bride, about to open a bottle of champagne, the little girl in the background is totally awed by the spectacle and is waiting for the pop of the cork, the bridesmaid in the background is trying to capture the moment on her iPhone.
You know what? I can write a lot of words to describe the scene - but the words still won't do the trick - you need to spend time looking at the picture, to take in all of the detail and to understand the scene for yourself. The image has balance, harmony and depth, the ability of the image to speak to you - will depend entirely on how much you open your mind to take in the scene fully.

Shonagh and Dan aren't a conventional couple - but then - hell - who is conventional anyway? I didn't plan it - I just saw it and snapped it quickly before he moved somewhere else in the room. Here is a bunch of five fellers working on cufflinks, varying techniques are being employed here. Would you like to see the cufflinks?
We organised an autumn bridal shoot in order to take advantage of the wonderful colours in the landscaped grounds of Langley Castle in the fall. And each time I go there - I leave late in the day - happy that I've seen the old place again. Langley Castle - from a photographers point of view - is a little piece of heaven on earth.
I wander down there too - I might as well - I was hoping to catch the couple circulating with the guests at this point, but hey ho, adapt and survive I guess. I nip downstairs to get a handfull of pictures of the bride and groom, bridesmaids, close family - you know the sort of thing. Oh - time is flying here - the guests have been ushered down from the Tunstall Gallery and they're all in the Great Hall.
Once again we thank you wholeheartedly for surpassing our expectations with the awe-inspiring set of pictures of our wedding. You have been wonderful and have given us both some really special memories which we will cherish forever. Leonie and I would like to express our sincere thanks for the fantastic and most spectacular outome of our wedding album.

We had Alan as our photographer at our 50's wedding on the 24.6.17..our photos are still being processed as our wedding was only 4 days ago. But I felt I needed to do a first review on Alan's performance. What can we say..wow! He went above and beyond to get the perfect picture's without us taking too much time away from our guests which was important to me. Alan took all our thoughts and wishes on board and came up with fun poses in theme with our 50s theme. Alan even got on the total wipe out bare foot..almost getting knocked over to take amazing pictures! He's such a lovely, genuine man and

Alan Mason Photography, is absolutely AMAZING, he did our daughters 1950's wedding on 24th June 2017, fantastic pictures, Alan is very talented at what he does.
He's very patient and goes the extra mile to achieve the most outstanding pictures, he is a must for any wedding photography
Wonderful to have found someone who could capture, what was, a perfect day
We had total wipe out, in the field for the guests, bless him, he even took his shoes off and got on there taking pictures, so funny, but so professional.
He did one picture when it was going dark of all the men stood on a wall pointing

Alan Mason has such an amazing talent for capturing ‘moments’ which is exactly what you want on your wedding day. It’s not the formal photos that remind you how great your day was – it’s the natural fun and excitement that is so important to be documented. Alan's ability not to miss a moment is incredible, and his energy and passion comes across in the photos. He is able to blend in so well that your guests and literally will not realise they’re being photographed. We could not recommend Alan anymore he is amazing, our photos of our special day are just beautiful, and our wedding album

One piece of advice for any bride - book Alan Mason as your wedding photographer if you care about your wedding photos! We chose Alan as photographer for our wedding in October 2016 as he had done a fantastic job at my sister in law’s wedding and I am so glad we did! Alan is incredibly talented and an absolute pleasure to work with. Not only did he capture the whole day beautifully and has given us hundreds of lovely photos to reminisce over, he has given us truly breath taking photos of the two of us which we will treasure forever (and display proudly in our house!!). We told Alan we were hoping

Alan is an amazing photographer who is truly passionate about his work and delighting his customers.
From the moment we met Alan, we were excited by his enthusiasm and his unique approach. Leading up to our Wedding Day we met to discuss our photography preferences and again in the craziness of wedding planning it was just great to talk to someone who 'just got us'.
We are over the moon with all the photographs that Alan took for our Wedding and want to thank him for adding some extra fun to our special day!
If you are considering booking Alan then we can't recommend him and his work enough.

First of all we'd really like to thank Alan for being the most amazing photographer: truly gifted, a perfectionist and incredibly professional. I met Alan at a wedding fayre at Lumley Castle and immediately fell in love with his work; all of his albums told a beautiful story made up of magical wedding pictures.
A week before our wedding Alan invited us to his studio to go through on the day procedures and to show us wedding albums. At this meeting Alan give us invaluable advice which made our day go super smoothly and perfectly.

What a wonderful, friendly, kind, caring, professional and fun character Alan is. Nothing was too much trouble for him when he took our wedding photographs. He went to great lengths to capture some incredible moments for my husband and I.
I'm quite a shy person, I thought I'd struggle having my photograph taken but Alan made me and my family feel completely at ease during our wedding photographs and that's quite a skill.
Alan's photography is outstanding, breathtaking. Each photograph he took of us was/is beautiful, like a work of art. Thank you Alan for making us very, very happy. I highly recommend

We chose Alan to be our photographer at our wedding at Langley Castle last Autumn (2014). The quality of our photographs and our wedding album was outstanding and we were both extremely pleased with the finished products. On the day, Alan stuck to his brief really well and managed to capture the spirit of the occasion and combine it with some beautiful creative and more artistic shots which gave our album a very special and unique feel. Throughout the whole process we found Alan to be very professional, approachable, friendly and calm under pressure. Several of our wedding guests commented on how

Alan was our photographer for our wedding at Lumley Castle back in November 2014.
After browsing his website, the main thing that stood out for me (apart from the amazing photos), was his relaxed and joking personality. When thinking about how nervous I would be on the big day, I definitely wanted someone I could personally feel comfortable around!
This definitely turned out to be the case.
On the wedding day, I found him to be extremely professional, very easy going and more than happy to help us get the best shots for our wedding photos.

For myself and my wife's wedding we chose Alan to be our photographer. After meeting him at a wedding fayre at Wynyard Hall he was the only photographer who did not try the hard sell. He let us browse his work and answered all questions we had. A big part of his work is how his photos / albums tell a story of the day and this is exactly what myself and my wife wanted.
On our big day Alan was both professional and humorous (which was great as it kept us and guests relaxed and made for an enjoyable day). Kerri and I had lots of fun posing for the photos. Alan also blended into the background which
