We have been restoring antique clocks for over 45 years, and are proud members of BAFRA and the Antiquarian Horological society. Our restoration work includes clock movement, casework and dial restoration. As well as gilding and carving, etc. All restoration is undertaken in our workshops as we do not outsource our work.
We specialise in the restoration of antique longcase clocks. We repair small domestic items up to large restoration projects such as clocks from churches and cathedrals. Longcase clocks (grandfather clocks), bracket clocks, Vienna regulators, French and American mantle clocks, wall clocks. Clock movements, French movements, Fusee including the making replacement parts, wheel cutting.
French clocks come in many different styles, and some of the earlier clocks are extremely valuable, particularly those made by well-known French makers. Some of these early clocks were made with fine French movements, bronze figures and gold ormolu mounts. This clock has been restored in our workshop.
We at Green and Cockburn Antique Restoration undertake dial restoration to the highest standard. Our dial restoration service is only provided if required, alongside clock or movement restoration. This is partly due to the time needed to restore an individual dial. The fees to provide this service within the required time will likely outweigh the monetary gain after restoration.

Malcolm,
For us all it has been an incredible journey to follow the restoration of the mirror and to understand the process of how you go about repairing intricate wood carving and adding new gilding. I am amazed at the exceptional level of craftsmanship involved. The mirror has been in my family for over 100 years and to see it brought back to such a magnificent condition is a dream come true.
Thank you for all your hard work!

Company restored an 18c grandfather clock - I knew it was in a bad state - but when it was returned it looked superb. The clock face, the mechanism, the wood - have all been restored to its former glory. And the service was second to none. They collected the clock and delivered back - making sure it was set up correctly. No hesitation of recommending this company.
