The Royal Hotel in Dungworth near Sheffield is not just in a great location close to many local attractions but also has a lovely traditional bar serving local beers along with a great selection of whiskeys and our much talked about pies! The Royal Hotel was built around 1813 and retains much of its original character.
All 3 rooms are the same size and offer great facilities; we've even added a few little extras that you might not expect to find! You can choose from 2 twin rooms and 1 double. We have a Z Bed to make occupancy up to 3 if required. All rooms are at ground level in our purpose built annexe, located at the rear of the pub in the carpark.

Only 7 miles from Sheffield city centre with its shops, cinemas, theatres, football & restaurants. Or right on the edge of the Peak District in the Upper Derwent Valley with breathtaking walks, fishing, hiking, horse riding & golf.

If there was a 'Bloody Brilliant' category I would have ticked that. The staff are fantastic and helpful. The setting is perfect, the food is superb (especially the homemade pies), great ale and if you get to stay when the 'Royal Traditions' folk night is on its an added bonus to hear some superb vocalists and musicians.

Went for a meal for a family of 7 with 2 dogs on our last stay in an airbnb up the road. Fabulous food, great service and huge portion size. Staff/owners were really friendly and chatty, great atmosphere. Would highly recommend 😊

We stayed here for a wedding over the weekend, for the price it was excellent. Great location, welcoming staff, decent breakfast. Would recommend 100%.

A great location on the edge of the Peak District. Fantastic place to stay, accommodation was comfortable, clean, tea, coffee, toiletries clean towels. Would highly recommend staying here. The owners made me feel so welcome even more so as was on a solo trip. Great beer great food great owners and looking forward to a return visit in the near future !!!

Relaxing and friendly atmosphere, awesome home cooking and good beer. The location is picturesque and peaceful and on the edge of the Peak District.

Well it's been a long time since I have been here. Stayed here for a few weeks about 6 - 7 years ago while I was working around Sheffield. Great cozy pub and very welcoming. Great owners and even the pub folk were a great laugh. Miss it up here.
