AM Chimneys was established in 1995 to concentrate on the design and fabrication of fireplaces and flue systems. Prior to AM Chimneys I worked in the commercial industry dealing more with boiler flues and diesel generators. The industry became more residentially based for me in my last company and I had found there was a lack of companies that had the knowledge of the complete scope of works in the fireplace trade.

I now am very proud to say I have a company that can complete the full installation and design of all fireplace and stone requirements. We deal with all major manufacturers of fireplace's and also have access to production companies in other countries. We specialise in achieving chimney solutions where you think they are not possible.
Services
Welcome to the AMChimneys web site, here you will find all the styles, ranges and unique ideas for your new fireplace. With our long experience in this industry you can rely on a professional service guiding you through the design, to planning and finally build of what will be your very own and individual focal point at the heart of your home.
We recommend you have your product serviced yearly to comply with the manufacturer's warranty and also to prolong life. A gas pressure drop test is carried out on the whole system with all gas appliances turned off. We have to turn the boiler off and also if you have a gas AGA this will also need turning off.
This will ascertain the maximum working size for your fireplace opening and will pick up any problems with the flue itself. If the chimney fails an integrity test then it will have to be lined or a fan system will have to be used(please see our fan and flue liner section). As flues and fireplaces now come under building control you will have to notify your local authority concerning works that are to be carried out.
The liners are installed from the top of the stack once the chimney pot has been removed. Access to the stack must be safe and installing liners cannot be carried out of ladders and roof ladders so a scaffold is generally required. The liner is then pulled down the flue and terminated in the fireplace opening in one of two ways.
If you do not have a chimney breast and would like a fireplace on or near an external wall then don't worry because we can create the fireplace you have always dreamed of using our fan and flue system. We build a false breast from either studwork or in block work which contains our flue. The flue would run to ceiling height where it turns 90 degrees to exit through the external wall and into a fan.

Couldn't be more helpful, went out of their way to help out, when confronted with an issue not of their doing. Good professional workmanship. Highly recommend.

A M Chimneys have helped solved problems caused by another installer. I wish I had chosen them in the first place. They are helpful and caring beyond the call of duty but more importantly they are experts in what they do.
