Suitable from birth, baby swimming lessons teach life saving skills, safety and essential swimming skills, with structured, progressive and fun lessons that promotes social, cognitive and physical development and a fantastic bonding experience.
Our toddler swimming lessons are where your little one will further enhance their swimming skills and lead them naturally into independent swimming. Once you have completed the baby programme you can progress onto our amazing toddler lessons. If you haven't participated in swimming before with your little one, you will still be able to join us as we structure our classes on ability as well as age.

Every member of our team have taken part in a very comprehensive training programme that is recoginised both nationally and internationally which is not only for teaching babies and toddlers but up to pre-competitive swimming.

Aquabumpz classes are run in most of our pools providing mums-to-be and post-natal mums the opportunity to exercise using the unique properties of water in a fun and relaxed way. You can join a short course of just five lessons which not only helps you to relax but will give you an insight into techniques you can use with your baby once they are born.
Swimkidz are proud to say that they have successfully taught Thousands of babies & children to swim and experience the joys of water! Our classes differ from traditional swimming lessons in terms of content, delivery and the venues we use. We only use warm water pools and babies can join us from birth in our hydro pools.
Once you have completed our fifty- week baby programme you can progress into our amazing toddler lessons. If you haven't participated in swimming before with your little one you will still be able to join us as we structure our classes on ability as well as age taking into consideration each individual child's needs.

We love Swimkidz! My daughter started this term and I can honestly say it is the highlight of our week! She loves all of the activities, and is also a lot happier at bath time at home, she quickly got used to having her ears in the water, and having water go over her face with the help of the teachers and is now much happier when we wash her hair! Out of all of our classes this is definitely the one I’m making sure we’re on for every term! The lessons are always lots of fun, and you definitely come away feeling happy with how much was packed into your lesson, everyone’s been really good at

We love our lessons with Swimkidz! My little boy has slotted back in after the lockdowns and is getting more and more confident each week. The lessons are really well structured and you can see the progression through the repetition. The water safety element and learning how to enter and exit the water safely from the start is a fantastic lesson! Thanks Swimkidz 😀

I started Swimkidz in Bucklebury with my 5 week old in preparation for our first family holiday and also just to generally build confidence in the water. Our teacher was great especially with such a young baby and made me feel confident with him in the water. My only complaint which is why I am giving 4* would be that the changing facilities at this particular pool for a young baby aren’t great - it’s very cold during the autumn / winter months and there isn’t specific changing table facility, only a narrow bench which isn’t usable for wriggly baby and the floor is generally quite wet.

My little one was meant to start lessons with Swimkidz back in March. Due to the pandemic and then problems with the venue lessons only recommenced in late November (other swim schools were back in the summer). It's not their fault l that lessons were cancelled but as i am no onger on maternity leave I can't attend lessons on the day I originally booked. I emailed Simon at Swimkidz asking if I could get a refund or change lesson days and he has avoided my emails. Reallly unprofessional.
Also the contract they expect you to sign when you join is a bit over the top and needs changing.

We’ve been using Swimkidz since our son was 12wks old. We’ve had Karen as his teacher most of this time. We couldn’t ask for me. Karen is lovely, friendly, warm, amazing with the children. It’s wonderful to have someone who our son knows every week. Hes almost Four and he loves seeing “Karen for splashes“ every Saturday 🙂

This is the best swimming school for kids by far as it’s the 4th one we have tried! All 3 of our kids go here and they’ve all come on leaps and bounds from 3 years of age onwards. The confidence it’s given them is unbelievable and now our water park holidays are more fun than ever! Thank you Swimkidz 😇

Our granddaughter Amelia is in her second year at Swimkidz. She has gained so much confidence in the water that she will now have a go at anything they ask of her. Both teachers are very clear and precise at demonstrating the correct techniques, and following it through with practice.
Amelia loves her swimming lessons and has so much fun. She has a good rapport with both Lorraine and Erin. They are brilliant teachers and are a credit to Swimkidz.

Really good teachers, not so good administration.
Administation of swimkidz is happy to answer your emails as long as it is either about joining swimkidz or financial related topics. But once you joined and paid them they stop responding.
Also the swimming pool that we went to is not as clean as we wanted it to be.
They are more expensive than companies offering competitive swimming classes.
Classes are well organized, teachers are well prepared, every minute during the lesson is well organized.

If only you could add more than 5 stars!! Both of my children have learnt to swim with SwimKidz and both have flourished more than we could have ever imagined. The wonderful teaching style adopted by all instructors is both caring and clear. We were exceptionally impressed by Sophie's ability to not only support but also challenge individual children, based on her in water assessment, meaning all children were working at their own level. SwimKidz is a fantastic company who we wholeheartedly recommend to everyone.
