Dovecote Kennels, Cattery and Grooming parlour is situated in a rural location between Donaghcloney and Waringstown. We are a family business and have been established since 1988. We are approved and licenced by DAERA (Department of Agriculture) meeting the strict regulations set and in relation to operating Kennels and Catteries.
We have a wide range of purpose built, secure and hygienic small, medium and large kennels. All dogs have access to a large outside, individual run. Dogs are also walked in our 10 acres of land. Services
We normally feed dried food, but if your dog has special dietary requirements, we will discuss this with you and suitable arrangements will be made. All kennels are tiled to promote good hygiene practice. Kennels are cleaned and disinfected each morning and additionally when required during the day.
We at Dovecote Kennels and Cattery pride ourselves in keeping your pet safe and sound while they stay with us. However in order to protect each and every pet we need them to be up to date with all their vaccinations. ALL DOGS and CATS are FULLY VACCINATED and that vaccines are UP TO DATE before leaving them with us.
We are very pleased to offer this new service to our customers. Our modern and fresh grooming parlour offers the full range of services at a very reasonable price. Providing quality care to your dogs is essential and regular grooming is a vital part of your dogs well being. Grooming helps keep your dogs coat and skin healthy as well as making sure they are comfortable no matter the season.
In these difficult financial times, our costs have been held yet again for the fourth year running! Small Breeds (Jack Russell, Westie, Pom etc) are 10 per day dates inclusive. When booking your dog / cat's stay, we prefer to talk to individual customers to discuss your preferred requirements in full.
As the lockdown starts to ease, we would like to say welcome back to all our valued customers! We can't wait to see you all again. Looking forward to having more wagging tails and purring cuddles staying with us once again. We continue to take every percaution to ensure your safety and the well bing of your pets.

Left my wee cat Kiki for 9 days and although I was initially a bit worried about how he would get on , once at cattery I knew he would be fine and enjoy his break from me place is great, super clean and modern . Staff & owners are great I messaged a few times whilst on my holidays to see how he had settled and had response almost immediately reassuring me , once collected he was his usual michevious self .great place will definitely be his new holiday home in the future

I don't like leaving bad reviews but we left our cat here over the July fortnight and he was skin and bone when we got him home. I've thought carefully before leaving this review but I have to be honest about my experience. He's also become very distressed when his bowl is empty and at 5 years old, this has never happened before. They also got his name wrong and didn't give him a toy to play with even though I requested it. We have previously left him at another cattery with no problems.

This family run kennels and cattery has my highest praise. The doggie/cat guests are treated as the family care for their own pets. The surroundings are bright and airy, with lots of homely touches. My daughters two dogs are able to stay together, which is a comfort to them as they would fret if parted. The cats get a cuddle every day, if they want, to make them feel at home. I cant recommend Dovecote highly enough.

I have used Dovecote for over ten years and I have always found the service and standards to be first class. The kennels are always immaculate with heat lamps,Radio 4 and even a Christmas tree.
We are always happy to leave our dog with Barbara and John as we know she will be cared for as part of the extended family . I am very happy to recommend Dovecote Kennels and Cattery and as someone who uses them on a regular basis we can say that we have always had an excellent experience.
