Just returned from the most perfect week in this stunning little corner of Northumberland. Beautiful cottage, perfect surroundings, and the owners Joanne and Gordon were so lovely, helpful, and passionate about where they live. Stargazing in the hot tub was such a highlight, we have never seen stars so bright. We can't wait to go back.

Petty Knowes sets the standard by which we judge all other holiday cottages we stay in. It’s exceptionally clean and tastefully decorated and furnished.. The views from the cottage are amazing and it’s perfectly situated for exploring the surrounding areas and it’s also very close to the Scottish border which gives even more options..
The added extras of a hot tub and the “gin room” are good too. We have been spending at least a week here, every year, for the last 8 years..What better recommendation can I give?
The owners, Joanne and Gordon, are lovely and will do their best to make

The cottage is beautiful. It's lovely and comfortable, perfect for a relaxing break. If the weather isn't good, you can relax in the Gin Room with the fire on. It's amazing!
The views over the North Tyne, Redesdale and the Scottish Border are stunning... especially when you're looking over them from the hot tub!

We always have a great time at the cottage. We go several times throughout the year. We have been here for Christmas and will be staying until the new year. Gordon and Joanne always make you welcome. Our 4 year old Labrador Harlie loves running around up here. If you want somewhere peaceful and idilic to stay, then this is the place to come.

Amazing cottage with fantastic decor/facilities and location. The owners are very accommodating and it's the little touches they add like a bottle of Prosecco and a hamper in the fridge on arrival which really make you smile, not to mention the new secret Gin room! Everything is spotless and it feels like a home from home, stunning views and only 15 minutes from Bellingham and 10 minutes from Otterburn. Second time visiting and will defiantly be back. Highly Reccommend
