I wanted to treat my mother who really needed a pamper, I live in London , so looked up salons in Ashbourne, Sally Montague’s salon came up , I remembered her from Keith Hall many years ago, the reviews were so good and looked it looked very on trend, chose I this salon. So happy I did. I spoke with Sophie on reception who was so helpful, we booked my mum in for a massage , highlights, roots , restyle and blow dry. Alex chose the perfect colours and style for my mum. A manicure and pedi - luxe. WOW !!! my mums hair was amazing and after her massage with Eloise, my mum actually walked and stood

This is my 2nd visit to this salon since moving up here from London. I have to say my previous salon were good but Sally Montague is in another league. Everybody knows your name and they are so friendly and ultra professional. I struggle with my hair as it's frizzy and Sally has improved it no end. I would also like to mention I had the best hair wash and head massage ever - sheer bliss !!!

I, along with my sisters and Mum, each had a massage at Sally Montague in Ashbourne yesterday- we were absolutely blown away by the service that we received. We were made to feel so welcome and cared for, and nothing was too much trouble for the lovely ladies working there! And the massages were incredible- the best we've ever had! I would highly recommend a visit to Sally Montague for all your self care needs, whether you live locally or whether you're on holiday close by (like us!) Thankyou ladies for such an amazing and lovely service x

I moved to Ashbourne in December and I found it hard to make new friends and settle amongst lockdowns. I booked in at Sally Montague’s and met my hairdresser Steph who just instantly made me feel so welcome, like I had known her for years and gave me the reassurance of how friendly everyone is in Ashbourne. All of the staff at Sally Montague just beam with the same sense of kindness, friendliness and welcoming that as a new client, made me feel like I’d found my “one” when it came to a trusted hairdressers and also a place to relax and be pampered. I’m glad to say I am still a client

Megan gave my 15 year old daughter such a lovely experience. She made her feel at ease, gave her great style advice and provided her with drinks and a massage chair during her treatment. It is lovely to see the Ashbourne salon open again. They adhere to covid 19 regulations to the letter, while making it feel very safe, yet not overwhelming, so you can wholey enjoy your experience. My hairdresser left last year, and the Staff have been fantastic trying to match me with another stylist to suit my hair. Nothing is too much trouble for them.

Had my hair coloured... 1st time great! 2nd time... dreadful... the permanent colour ran out. So they redyed it 3 more times, each with a pre dye treatment... put it this way, it left my hair in a worse state… with each “amendment. Then they blamed me “due to my age” and they weren’t prepared to do anything more so left me with the problem “because they’d spent enough already”. If you thinking of colouring your hair do not use this company.

Had a cut on the 22nd July, the cut was fine but when I came to pay they tried to charge me £50 for a cut and blow dry and I specifically booked in for a wet cut which was £28. I didn’t even have it straightened or curled and had no any serum put in. I raised the issue and but they could only lower it to £35 (not including £5 additional charge) which is still way over what I booked in for. No issue with my cut but watch out for them trying to charge you for treatments you never booked in for!!

I always treat myself by booking myself in at Sally Montague in Ashbourne!! My mum and I have been coming here for years now, and we have (nearly!!) explored all their services. This salon is the definition of luxury, and we have always been so impressed by the staff’s high quality treatments, but also their super friendly loveliness ☺️
Not to mention that the salon itself (which always smells amazing!) is made so welcome by it’s light and super welcoming atmosphere. Every time I go, there is a lovely receptionist waiting to greet and take care of me as soon as I walk in :)

Very impressed with this hair salon!
After having a traumatic experience with a different salon about 1.5-2 years ago, I finally braved getting a haircut again! I told the receptionist on the phone about how nervous I was to get it cut and he proceeded to ask me about my hair type, what I wanted doing, why I was nervous etc which immediately made me feel comfortable. He then recommended Isobel for a cut as he thought she’d be sensitive to my fears!
