Morgenrot Group
Morgenrot, established in 1970, are Manchester's oldest established importers of beers and wines. Distributing locally and nationwide we specialise in quality products and excellent service. We are not just about bright, bold and eye catching bottles. Whilst Morgenrot try to break from the traditional look of labels we insist on retaining the essence of truly hand-crafted wine and beer.

From the outset we have striven to work with people who make their wines with honesty, passion and respect for their native regions; then add style, flair and a touch of humour. Morgenrot specialise in the import and distribution of quality wines, imported world lagers and craft beers. Working closely with independent producers we gladly apply the term 'craft' to both our.
Services
The company was established in 1970 by Rudi Plath in Bolton, primarily operating as a provider of exclusive German wine 'Ahrkellerei Morgenrot' and French wine 'Les Chevaliers du Franc Terrior, ' as Morgenrot Chevaliers. The business expands its portfolio of wines to meet the growing demands of its customer base.
Although vines had been cultivated from the wild Vitis vinifera grape for millennia, it wasn't until the Greek colonization that wine-making flourished. Viticulture was introduced into Sicily and southern Italy by the Mycenaean Greeks, and was well established when the extensive Greek colonization transpired around 800 BC.
Wine making and vine growing go back to colonial times in New Zealand. British Resident and keen oenologist James Busby was, as early as 1836, attempting to produce wine at his land in Waitangi and in 1851 New Zealand's oldest existing vineyard was established by French Roman Catholic missionaries at Mission Estate in Hawke's Bay.
Alhambra brewery was founded in Granada in 1925 and is named after the city's magnificent Alhambra Palace. The brewery was at that time situated on the outskirts of town not far from the foot of the snow-capped Sierra Nevada Mountains, the source of Spain's finest water. Alhambra continues to brew with the best available ingredients and uses no additives.
Cervecera Artesana are located in Nalda next to our Rioja producers Bodegas Nivarius. Their Palax and Ceriux range of craft beers take full advantage of the pure local water from a spring in the upper Iregua river basin in a natural, environmentally-rich area surrounded by beech and oak trees. Quality raw ingredients as well cutting edge technology to satisfy even the most discerning beer connoisseurs.
