Services
Julia is an experienced practitioner who has worked in Health Care Institutions and Organisations in both Public and Private settings for thirty eight years. Initially, her background was Nursing in Psychiatry and General Nurse settings and in 1987 moved into Higher Education at Southampton University for twelve years.
In my therapy sessions, we'll work to solve current problems and improve positive thinking and behavior. I will help you "re-frame" your reactions and provide you with valuable tools to cope with life's obstacles. I'm confident you'll find my personalized Individual Therapy beneficial and inspirational.
Clients of all ages commonly come with concerns regarding: anxiety, fear, depression, relationships difficulties, divorce issues, mid-life crisis, stress, post traumatic stress, bereavement, coping with strong feelings, anger management, phobias, eating disorder, addiction, physical/psychological abuse, bullying, low confidence and self-esteem, parenting, difficulties in school, college or at university, sex, sexuality and gender issues.
The service is bespoke and designed to meet your need to promote a quality service which is professionally safe, effective, and facilitated to provide an environment which develops individuals and teams to give their best. The method of working is Collaborative, Developmental and Transdisciplinary (CDT) with emphasis on Multidisciplinary Practice in case management.
Workshops are offered to meet individual/group or organisational need. They can vary in length of time ranging from one off sessions, half or full days, or a session which is ongoing such as a development or supervision group. Mindfulness: A workshop intended to develop the skills and practice of meditative mindfulness using the concepts of Gestalt Psychotherapy.
