We are a family run business for over 30 years. Providing a high standard of swimming tuition in a safe environment for children of all abilities from 6 weeks old. We hold children's swimming lessons at 4 separate locations in Berkshire: Compton, Thatcham and Pangbourne, Reading, all with excellent facilities.
We place great emphasis on giving our children confidence in the water and having fun as well as learning to swim. We reward children termly with certificates and badges. We also offer intensive courses for non-swimmers, stroke improvers snorkelling and diving for the more confident swimmers. I cannot recommend this swim school highly enough, my children love their lessons here.

Gerry & Rose Madden - the founders of GR Swimming School have been teaching swimming lessons for over 30 years. Their business went from strength to strength with the use of additional pools in the Berkshire area. Together, with a staff of more than 10 teachers, they taught over 600 children per week.
Our teaching places emphasis not only on swimming ability but also on having confidence in the water. Children learn how to move about through the water safely, whatever the activity is. Each term-time course culminates with a special Fun Day, at the end of the term, where the children play games and use inflatables.
Leah & Misha (6 yr old twins) came to us and said they wanted to raise money for the kids in Africa who did not have as much as they do. We asked them what they'd like to do as a challenge and so they ran a childrens' half marathon. A series of runs totalling 21 kilometers which concluded in Reigate this September.
