Services
Founded in 1982 by Alan Christie, Skyburst originated as a firework shop in Bristol supplying quality fireworkproducts to those looking to hold their own displays, offering valuable advice and safety tips at the same time. Still a family business, Skyburst now incorporates a retail shop, an online supply business and a professionaldisplay service.
Alan founded the company back in 1982, where he originally started off as a hobbyist firework company in Bristol, doing something he absolutely loved. Blowing stuff up, at the same time as making people happy! Alan did not expect nearly 30 years later, he would be running one of the UK's Biggest Firework Company, still based in Bristol with the help of his two sons Jay and Luke.
Here is a display we donated to the Make A Wish Charity at Walton Castle in Clevedon for Shreenik Power Rangers Party! Here's our display for the Downend Round Table Fireworks Event 2015 where we took the audience through a JubeBox Through Time themed display. Here is a display we designed for the younger audiences, which we performed 1.5 hours prior to the adults display.
Pyrodigital displays are created specially to give the illusion that the fireworks are dancing to the beat of music. Designed using the latest software and fired using the latest hardware, these displays are the crme de la crme of pyrotechnology. At Skyburst we pride ourselves on keeping up to date with the latest technology and materials.
We love a challenge at Skyburst and have created some really exciting projects for events in the past. From a giant glittering tardis to a uniquely designed panjandrum no idea is out of the question! We have used fireworks to create a huge sheep's head, a logo for a festival, hearts and smiley faces and even fire writing.

This little shop is not only useful for its provision of fireworks; it is also a great place to find out what is going on in Bristol in terms of night life. When I first moved to the city a couple of years ago, this shop window guided me in my weekend escapades - I have a lot to thank it for! But back to The Firework Shop's main purpose: it sells an expansive range of fireworks, and the fully trained staff here are keen to guide their clients in displaying them. So if you're an amateur in explosives, you can rest assured - the staff are very much at your service.

This may be a big-bangs shop for professionals wanting to light up the mantle, but I like to think of it as a nice place to nip in for a twenty quid rocket to say mea culpa to your girlfriend when the sparks have been flying at home.
The company lit the blue touch-paper of success 15-years ago with a mail order concern and things grew from there and now they are illuminating night skies all over the UK, including the Bristol Balloon Festival.
But don't let big deter you from thinking that they don't cater for us more pyrotechnically-challenged folks that just want a bit of 'ooooohhh
