Services
At Rimplas, we have more than 50,000 square feet of modern manufacturing and storage space and are situated in the South East of England to supply products internationally. Our facilities are easy to access by road, rail and air and we welcome visitors to demonstrate what we can offer and why we are different.
Normally used for low to medium production runs, rigid polyurethane mouldings have unique properties that may also make them the ideal choice in other situations. The process uses two chemicals, combined in a mixing head which 'foam' and fill the tool, creating a hard outer surface and less dense core.
We were approached By Quest Medical to see if we could assist in a MRI Scanner refurbishment. We had never undertaken this kind of project before but we were up for the challenge. The very early prototype Carousels were machined from slabs of aluminium in sections which were then bolted together.

Injection moulding is generally used for higher volume production where a lower component price justifies a higher tooling investment. However, in some situations, injection moulding is the only process to use and Rimplas has the production flexibility to allow smaller cost effective runs and larger components to be produced.
Rimplas has extensive 'state of the art' painting and finishing facilities that enable the best possible product appearance to be consistently achieved from all of our moulding processes. Although the moulding method, material and tooling type are of considerable interest to the manufacturer or brand owner, their customers and the ultimate user only care about the end result so expert painting and finishing is vital.
