Mersey Street Garage is a friendly, local independent garage based in the centre of Stockport. We have two mechanics, both of them served a traditional apprenticeship to earn their qualifications, both have more than 10 years' experience in vehicle repairs, car servicing and both are qualified MOT testers.

At Mersey Street Garage we carry out Interim and Full Vehicle services to all makes and models of cars and commercial vehicles. We can source a range of parts to fit your budget and servicing needs and we are happy to provide a free pricing estimate. Our experienced mechanics will service your vehicle to the highest standard for the fraction of a main dealer price.
Here at Mersey Street Garage we offer MOT's on all cars and light commercial vehicles weighing up to 3 tonnes. We can offer MOT's on a 'Time Slot' basis so if you didn't want to leave your vehicle with us all day we can book it in for a time suitable for yourself.
We are a 2 minute walk away from the Peel Centre in Stockport which has a range of shops including Costa Coffee, Currys PC World, Nando's, New Look, Next and The Range so we are in an ideal location for some retail therapy.We do also have a small waiting area in the office. We can arrange for MOT's on heavier commercial vehicles and Minibuses, we would take these vehicles to the test centres and bring them back when the tests have been completed.

Vehicles can often fail MOT's due to rusting and corrosion which normally means that welding repairs have to be carried-out. At Mersey Street Garage we have an experienced welder and all the equipment necessary to make these repairs. We are happy to provide a quotation for welding once we have seen the extent of the corrosion, but please contact us before you bring the vehicle to make sure our welder is available to look at the job.

Fantastic service. My partner was replacing a car part, but the tool he ordered to complete the job was faulty. I suggested he ask our local garage to press the part out. Wasn't sure they would agree to what was probably an unusual request, but they were so helpful and friendly. They quoted £10 and wouldn't take any more when my partner also asked them to press the new part in.

Contacted Mersey Street Garage having been recommended to use them. My car was collected and delivered back to me. Everything was itemised and was much better value than I've been used to paying. They even told me about a slight fault I had no idea about, and had sorted it for me at no extra cost. Will definitely be using them from now on. Brilliant service.

Car was having issues preventing me driving home to Sale would only do about 10mph (limp mode). Trying other garages with no luck I Rang Mersey Street and found the young lady very helpful and friendly and told me to bring the car straight in and they would fit me in ASAP.
Mechanic communication was excellent and worked hard to fault find the problem. A previous botched repair on the egr valve was the issue. Quickly removed, cleaned and the previous botched repair was resolved and I was on my way within a shorter time than I expected and not on the back of a tow truck.

I had a coil spring fitted to my Audi A3 & as a new customer I found the customer service to be very good from Mersey Street Garage.
Beki was friendly professional & knowledgeable as were the rest of the team.
The price was extremely competitive & they only use quality parts to do the job which is reassuring as I do considerable milage.
It's been a few months now since I had the work done with no complaints.

The service from Mersey Street is excellent. I book my car in for a MOT on the Friday and dropped it off the next Monday morning. The mot was done within an hour and I had my car back before the afternoon. The staff is very professional and friendly. I would recommend them to anyone
