Manor House Practice is run by Kathryn Macdonald Bsc (OST) who has just celebrated working in Beccles for 25 years. The original Osteopathic practice was established in the early 70's but since becoming Managing Director Kathryn has developed Manor House into a multi-practitioner, multi-disciplinary Complementary Healthcare Practice.
It is with great sadness that we report the death of our fabulous Liz Avory. Practice Manager and Kathryn's right hand man for over 21 years. The loss of our friend and colleague has hit us all hard and I'm sure all our patients will feel her loss too. Manor House Practice is open for face to face appointments.

Holistic Therapy aims to restore balance to the physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of the individual; by creating balance the body will have the opportunity to self-heal. Counselling is an opportunity to look at, reconsider and evaluate, either the wider historical issues in your life or, to focus on one particular issue that is happening now.
While a trip to the Osteopath is never a bad idea, there are times when it may not be possible for you to physically attend an appointment. Maybe you can't get away from work or you are away from the area at the moment, have family commitments or just aren't sure whether the problem that's bothering you is worth a half hour appointment.
Osteopathy is a safe and natural approach to healthcare which deals with human function and movement focusing on the bones, joints, muscles and soft connecting tissues and the way in which their condition affects your body as a whole. It uses physical approaches to promote, maintain and restore physical and psycho-social well-being while taking into account of your individual health.
I have over 25 years experience in the holistic and beauty industry both as a therapist and lecturer and offer a wide variety of treatments to pamper you from top to toe. In my treatments I use a very intuitive approach utilising skills from various healing techniques as I am extremely passionate about individually designing treatments to enhance well-being and increase vitality.
Herbal medicine is the use of plants and fungi as healing tools. Plants and fungi have been used by mankind as food and medicine since the dawn of humanity and herbal medicine is the oldest form of healthcare on the planet.
Many people are now familiar with traditions from other countries such as Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda, but it is less well known that in the UK we have our own unique tradition of treatment called the Humoral System.

Far improved. I wish, wholeheartedly I'd have gone sooner this year.
Aya is superb, one of the osteopaths.
More importantly there's a change within.
The whole establishment oozes positivity.
Extremely competitive regards the cost but it's the all round ambience of health and caring that makes a visit so endearing.

My daughter, who travels regularly between us and the United States, decided to deal with the jetlag , dislocation etc by having a massage, but she found the experience less recuperative than she had hoped. There was very little tenderness in the treatment , which she described as perfunctory and a bit brusque. Instead of soft music there was a ticking clock, there were no nice smells - and, worst of all, the practitioner chatted away through the whole procedure, asking her about her work etc, when my daughter would have preferred a calming silence and freedom from professional worries. I am sorry
